Okay, so after countless attempts at trying to turn my blogger website to English, I finally figured it out! Yay! Now I can keep everyone updated on how things are going over here in the great Ukraine! I made it here on the 14th of January, yes, my Birthday Eve! It was quite the tramatic experience getting here. I spent about 8 of the 10 hour airplane ride from Chicago to Germany in the bathroom throwing up! What a great time to get the flu huh? Might as well call me Nicole! I have never been so miserable in my life, but I made it through! After landing in Ukraine we all separated to head off and meet our families. I went in a van with two other girls that were going to the same house. Of course the van driver spoke NO English and he dropped the other two girls off first. So it was just me and this non-english speaking bus driver cruising around Ukraine listening to N'Sync and Micheal Jackson (apparently both are still really popular here). It was a very interesting way to begin my journey. After the first night here it has felt just like a whirlwind! I can't believe two weeks has already gone by! I began teaching last week and it has been really fun! I never would have thought that teaching 4-8 year olds english would have been harder than teaching adults anatomy! But it is getting easier every day. Nik, if you have any good activities, send them my way. Hope all is going well home and I will do better to keep this updated. I will post some pictures soon too!
